Action Platform
[Event] Inochi Forum Action Platform / “SDGs + beyond” – ASEAN & Mongolia – to Be Held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5:30 p.m.!
Day2Rp8.jpg)
Purpose & Background
According to a United Nations report, there is a significant delay in achieving the goals
set for 2030. Only 17% of the 169 measurable targets are currently on track, and there is
a growing sense of urgency that the SDGs are far from being achieved by 2030.
These are closely related to other challenges such as conflict, health, and education.
It is essential to understand the realities faced especially by the most vulnerable people
domestically and internationally, and to strive toward the achievement of the SDGs.
Currently, as part of a JICA training program, government officials from ASEAN countries
and Mongolia are in Japan to learn about international events such as Expo 2025 Osaka-
Kansai and SDGs. They are also participating in the Inochi Forum, and will present the
challenges and efforts related to SDGs in their respective countries.
In this Action Platform, six trainees who are in Japan will share firsthand insights on the
issues in their countries and efforts being made to address them.
We hope this will be an opportunity to think together about future initiatives and the
kind of society we aim to build.
This session will feature speakers from Cambodia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
*Interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided.
