Inochi Forum ｜ Summary
Inochi Forum is a platform where individuals come together with the awareness that each and every life on Earth is interconnected. It’s a space for raising voices, listening, discussing, and forming a unified voice that contributes to a global movement. It involves contemplating what ‘inochi’ means, what it means to ‘shine,’ and what actions need to be taken to ensure ‘no one is left behind,’ transcending all boundaries of nationality, culture, and background.
Through collaborative efforts involving various stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and civil society on a global scale, we will issue Inochi Declaration at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Beyond 2025, we will continue the Inochi Forum as a legacy of the Expo, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and envisioning the next goals beyond the SDGs
Action Platforms
We will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders such as industry, government, academia, civil society including TEAM EXPO 2025 members, as well as engage with youth and children, including university students, high school students, middle school students and elementary school students.
Together, we will work on various activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as disaster prevention, energy, gender equality, poverty, and other themes, as well as themes beyond the SDGs such as science and technology, arts, and sports.
We will strive to address and achieve solutions for each theme, discover new challenges, and progress toward the resolution of various issues.
Inochi Voice
We will listen to voices of individuals, including young people and children, transcending generational gaps, gender differences, ethnicities and nationalities, regarding their desires and visions for the future society and collect them expressed not only in written form but also through various forms of artwork such as drawings, videos and other mediums.
By leveraging AI and other technologies, we will organize the relationship between these voices and the themes of action platforms, as well as their connection to the SDGs. This will contribute to the efforts of the action platforms and the formulation of the Inochi Declaration.
Inochi Declaration
Through the activities of the action platforms and the Inochi voices, we will declare to humanity as a whole what actions should be taken for a future society where inochi shines, aiming towards achieving the SDGs by 2030 and providing guidelines for actions beyond 2030. This declaration will be announced to the world at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. Furthermore, it will serve as the philosophical foundation for expanding the activities of the ‘Inochi Forum’ even after the Expo.
