The Health Group held a meeting on 5 March 2024 (JST). The group discussed issues in contemporary society with a focus on the “food system”.

The meeting was led by Prof. Eric Brunner (Public Health) of University College London and Prof. Chizuru Nishida (Nutrition and Health Science), Former Head of Safe, Healthy and Sustainable Diet Unit, WHO Department of Nutrition and Food Safety, and Prof. Jessica Fanzo of Columbia University (Climate and Food), together with the members of Osaka University.

The Group exchanged ideas on the issues on food system, and how they delineate action guidelines, considering the form of output as well as various stakeholders.

The next meeting will be held in May.
