Purpose of the event

In preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held in 2025, Osaka University and the three Kansai economic organizations will confirm the philosophy and implementation status of the SDGs, and will discuss measures and science to realize a society where “no one will be left behind.” In March 2023, together with three Kansai economic organizations, we launched the “Inochi Conference” project to present the role that technology will play and then discuss the goals that humanity should aim for after the SDGs, that is, after 2031.

The “Inochi Kaigi” Project Promotion Council, which promotes the “Inochi Kaigi” project, organizes “Inochi Kaigi” by theme, where companies, national governments, NPOs, NGOs, academia, etc. participate and discuss across organizational and generational boundaries. We plan to actively promote this event in cooperation with other organizations, and we plan to disseminate the results of the discussions to the world in the form of the “Declaration of Life” at the “Osaka-Kansai Expo.”

This “Inochi Kaigi” kick-off symposium will bring together all the actors from industry, government, academia, and the private sector who are participating in the “Inochi Kaigi” projects in preparation for FY2024, when various activities of the “Inochi Kaigi” will accelerate. This event will be held as an opportunity to discuss the actions that should be taken, expand the number of participants in the activities of the “Inochi Kaigi” project, reconfirm its direction and collaborative measures, and accelerate various future activities. .
